Visual Studio 2010

I've been trying to utilize the DigitalRune Docking control (version 1.3.1) in a vb.net VS2010 winform application. Anytime I drag the control onto my form Visual Studuio crashes. I can open a VS2005 project in my new VS2010 installation and it will run, however anytime I try and view an old form with the DigitalRune Docking Control on it, Visual Studio 2010 will crash.

I need help to get this working. I love this control but I'm starting to wonder if it's VS2010 compatible.

Hi DDean, this issue has been resolved in newer versions of the library. Please download the latest version.

Tried the newer version, but ended up with the same result.

You are probably running into a security issue. When you download the ZIP file in Windows Vista or Windows 7, it is marked as unsafe by the file system. Before unzipping the package right-click the ZIP file and select Properties from the context menu. In the Properties window click the Unblock button. Then right-click the ZIP file and select Extract All...

If this does not solve the problem, please send me a description or screenshot of the error message in VS 2010.

I took a third try at this and got it to work. Running VS2010 on an XP SP3 machine. I had to add a reference to the dll manually, I seem to recall that this was done automatically in VS2005 and VS2008.

I never received an error message, VS2010 just crashed and stopped running immediately after adding the control to my form.
